Overall Satisfaction with Read&Write
We work with neurodivergent learners and Read&Write helps them process and understand the content that they are reading or using in lessons. Supports them in a variety of their needs and allows us to level the playing field for all learners and their different levels of ability in terms of reading and writing and accessing resources for lessons and for learning in different subject areas.
Pros
- Reading ruler
- Vocab dictionary
- Audio text
Cons
- The app could be better
- Ability to add learners who use different emails
- Improved inclusion
- Increased independence for learners
- Time saved for educators
It's very good in terms of multiple ways to access learners can access it with apps and the browser extension and we can also use it in class however not all of our learners use a school email address and therefore one of the barriers that we encountered is being able to add learners with different emails and to the same learner group to give them access.
We have a lot of learners at all find it difficult to ask for help and therefore educators need to check in on them regularly to ensure they've understood the content that they've covered and the things that they've read. Read&Write helps because it means that they can understand words without asking for help especially using the picture dictionary or translational for learners with ESL needs.
