Software Version

Red Hat OpenShift Platform Plus (self-managed)

Modules Used

  • OpenShift Data Foundation

Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat OpenShift

We use OpenShift in a completely air gapped/disconnected environment. We hope to provide resiliency and HA to satellite communications and processing.

These systems will handle Link 3 satellite data process and archive indefinately.

Pros

  • Keep applications available
  • Providing security operators
  • Flexibility on what applications can be run

Cons

  • I cant think of anything. My experience has been great!
  • An ansible module to help in the automated post creation configuration. Currently k8s is limited
  • Provides the customer with a solid and resilient infrastructure.
Because we are just starting the process to migrate applications into OpenShift we are still analyzing the impact.
We have not overtaxed our system as of yet.
NA only have used OCP
