Red Hat OpenShift review
Software Version
Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (self-managed)
Modules Used
- OpenShift Virtualization
Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat OpenShift
It takes a lot of the headache out of deploying and scaling, and helps keep dev and prod in sync ,s ince it’s built on Kubernetes, we get all the power and flexibility of K8s, but with a much nicer experience for the teams — especially when it comes to automation, monitoring, and managing clusters
Pros
- it integrates with CI/CD.
- Security is also a big win.
- handles multi-tenancy really well
Cons
- Virtualization’s improving, but networking still feels a bit limited.
- Faster time to market
- Better security
- Higher productivity
Red Hat OpenShift really helped clean up our dev workflow. Using Pipelines and GitOps made deployments way easier and more reliable. Observability tools save us time when stuff breaks. We’re just getting into the AI and Serverless features
We run Red Hat OpenShift across both on-prem and cloud, and that consistency is a big win. Same tools, same workflows it makes life easier for our devs and ops, especially when moving workloads or scaling up
- Kubernetes and Docker
We looked at a few other options like plain Kubernetes and some managed services, but Red Hat OpenShift stood out because it’s enterprise-ready out of the box. The built-in security, automation tools, and support made a big difference.
