Overall Satisfaction with Renaissance Accelerated Reader

My entire school uses Accelerated Reader. It helps track student reading progress across all grade levels.
  • Tracks student points earned.
  • Tracks books read over time.
  • Identifies areas of concern.
  • When printing book labels, searching by ISBN is not an available function.
  • The user interface does not allow for the misspellings of young children, and provides a "did you mean?" feature.
  • The cost is definitely a drawback of AR.
  • Positively, students and parents can check their reading progress.
Renaissance is well suited for rote question recall; it's less appropriate for more thoughtful responses.
