Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use myON News once a week in my class, as a way to have students stay up to date on current events. We also use the articles to practice annotating and use the articles for Socratic Seminars. This is also being used by one other teacher on campus who actively does Socratic Seminars.

Alternatives Considered

I like myON News more than any other product due to the variety of articles along with providing different Lexile levels. The Comprehension questions are also a great added feature. This is the complete package website, you have everything you need in one site. Students do not have to go to multiple websites to complete the activities.

Likelihood to Recommend

These articles work well in my class as we are an AVID class, and we do a lot of presenting, we can dissect the article and create strong conversations with the articles. The students also like the topics as they are current. They like this program more than Newsela. The stories are easier to follow along with and the comprehension questions are better worded.
