Overall Satisfaction with Renaissance Star Assessments

Renaissance Star Assessments help educators see if students are at, behind, or ahead of where they are supposed to be based on their grade level. It is a progress monitoring platform that shows if a student improves or falls lower than their initial or previous test. It helps educators see which students need intervention in specific areas and those that need harder work in other areas.

  • Show what students master or need improvement in.
  • Show students how they have improved and what level they are currently in.
  • Showing actual grade level equivalent instead of Lexiles, etc.
  • Explain what students should know and what needs to be retaught.
  • Give students their scores in real-time.
  • All data is easy to look at and pull from.
  • Students can access the assessments easily on their computer.
  • Educators can look back at previous scores and see where they were and where they are trying to go.

We use Renaissance Star Assessments to see if students are on target for their grade level. If they are lower then they are put in a remediation class, like "Study Skills" to help them get the skills they may be lacking. Data can be compared across grade levels, and can even be looked at across different schools to see if there is a difference in demographics of students, etc.
