Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Sage Intacct across the whole Diocese of Portland, Maine. Over 100 entities in total. Most importantly, it addresses our need for financial transparency and global consolidation. We have created a vast amount of reports to better report to upper management and our committees. The analytics we can now do with dashboards is incredible.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Using dimensions is very important and allows for a much smaller chart of gl accounts.
The limitless flexibility in reports. This makes it very customizable for users.
Ability to track non-financial data in statistical accounts is also very beneficial for reporting out.

Cons

The budgeting abilities should be more user-friendly allowing people to create and manage in the system without exporting and importing.
The ability to switch accounts from global to private or vice versa would be an incredible help.
Less support fees and costs for other modules like prepaids or fixed assets which seem could be basic, out of the box material.
