Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Sage Intacct is the primary accounting system for our entire organization. While primarily employed by our Accounting department, as one might imagine, it is also used by leaders from all departments for approving purchasing transactions and monthly expense reporting. Leaders also have the ability to drill in on individual expenses and/or vendors to keep track of how money is being spent in their departments.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Approving purchasing transactions is simple and easy.
Intacct is mobile friendly and formats pages nicely when viewing from a mobile device.
Reports can be viewed easily as well as exported in a number of different formats for further analysis.

Cons

Additional export format options for systems like Google Sheets would be nice.
A GUI redesign in certain areas like Purchasing Transactions could make for fewer clicks and quicker access to necessary data points.
Better integration with Identity Providers like Okta would be welcome.

Return on Investment

From an end-user like me, I appreciate the ease of approving purchases and the time savings that it provides.
The audit logs are great for tracking activity on certain purchases or transactions in the system. Allows for better accountability.
The custom reporting and dashboards that can be created have really helped to raise awareness of financial data points across the organization, again saving time for all involved.

Usability

Intacct is accessible from virtually any device, anywhere, which is incredibly valuable to us as an organization. The only reason I did not grant a higher rating than 8 is due to the fact that, as I have mentioned else where, there are certain pages that seem to require unnecessary clicks to drill into common data points.

Support Rating

I have not had to personally interact with Sage Intacct Support, so I cannot provide an opinion here. I would gather that the support is acceptable at least because I cannot recall hearing any negative feedback from anyone in our Accounting department, but to give an actual positive or negative rating here would only be speculation on my part.

Likelihood to Recommend

Being a cloud-based system, Sage Intacct really allows our organization more flexibility and accessibility to vital accounting and financial data, all while maintaining good security. Not having to maintain an on-premise accounting server like we used to is certainly welcome given the sensitive nature of the data that had to be properly maintained.
