Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Sage to input my project hours. The interface is clean and works far more intuitively than the last couple programs my work tried. So far Sage has saved time by allowing me to quickly amass my various workflows and enter without any problems (You wouldn't believe how difficult my last account site made it.) Kudos, Sage.

Sage Intacct Configuration

I've modified a few settings, but again, my sole use of Sage is for time tracking. Now I believe there was mention of my agency expanding Sage's role, but as of now, I've only needed the weekly tallying of time between projects, which couldn't be simpler. How nice to use a smart system.

Alternatives Considered

Harvest and NetSuite ERP

Sage stands up well to Harvest in terms of time tracking HOWEVER, I give Harvest the edge because I could attach my Google calendar and add hours in a snap. Also, Harvest has cute design and animated character. More life. That said, Sage is head and shoulders above the dreaded and evil NetSuite, in my experience a foul operating system I came to resent at the end of every week.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you're a professional creative, who needs to log your hours in order to illustrate the "burn" on every account, you could do much worse that pushing your agency to adopt Sage as their record system. The transition to Sage has been painless, and beleieve me, all of us in the office were groaning upon learning we'd be migrating somewhere new.
