Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce.com
Salesforce.com is being used across the company as market research (to see the current customer base and profile) and to expand the current customer base. It shows what the company lacks in its marketing to reach the target market as well as what products are selling the best in different locations.
Pros
- It has been used in key marketing research to expand the customer base to double what it was. We have mostly baby boomers in our stores, and we are trying to reach the younger generations to get them in the stores with new products that they use.
- It has been used to find out what the biggest selling products are in different locations; and helps to find out why some products outsell in one location but not in another.
Cons
- Ease of use. Some of our employees are older and not as current on the new operating systems or software.
- It has lead to us figuring out what products sell on our shelves and what we are losing money on.
- It has lead to faster accounting and tracking what time goes into what different tasks and departments in our stores.
- It has lead to better customer service and better trained employees.
