Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

Planning to use across the whole organization. Integrating data both transactional and master data across systems to realize real-time analytics and dashboards.

Pros

  • Ease of use - Excel drag and drop to get data for the dashboards is a great feature I love
  • Standard connector makes it easy to integrate
  • Time to bring it on and make it available for users is really a differentiator

Cons

  • Need clarify on how this product offering fits in the larger scheme of things with BI, BOBJ and other existing analytics tools offered by SAP
  • Security set up for SAC if integrated with the Digital core will be a big plus
  • Integration with Non SAP BI tools like BI Cognos, TM1 etc. would be a plus any standard connector to other BI tools would allow this to be the preferred front end tool for Analytices and C-level interactive dynamic reporting and dashboards
  • ARIS Business Process Management (BPM)
Ease of use and features that make it relatively easy to deploy and publish dashboard reports
Merging data from different sources via excel is a data integrity concerns standard connectors for the most popular or often uses sources would be welcome
Scores high in sharing and colloboration and aligned with future direction desired
C-level boardroom dashboard availability with interactive data refresh is a big use. Not particularly useful for end-user reporting as FIORI apps fill that space very nicely. More standard templates if made available in the respective Values Stream/Process areas would be a big plus. These can then be easily adopted for client needs for visual dashboard reports.
