Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

SAP Analytics Cloud has helped us to get the information for decision making faster and and with rich display. In the past, the IT team had to get all the data for reporting, now the end users are enabled to get and present their data themselves. So we have saved time, effort, support and empowered our users.

Pros

  • Nice presentations, Dashboards
  • Live Data Models
  • Merge multiple models

Cons

  • Live connections to other sources then SAP
  • When adding a new measure in CDS consumption view the SAP Analytics Cloud model gets disrupted. So you can only add a measure at the end
  • Connections to SQL, MySQL live
  • Close the month earlier on reporting
  • Save tons of time to get the reports by the end of the month

It’s a pretty nice solution for SAP exporting. I do think SAP could improve by enabling non-SAP sources connections, live ones. This could bring new customers.
