Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

I have done end to end implementation of SAP Analytics Cloud at [...] logistic area as well as for [...] when i was a subject matter expert. Have implemented planning, Supply chain management, EWM, Transportation, warehouse management dashboards and a number of management dashboards

Pros

  • Self service and ease to share and collaboration features
  • Planning and visualisation both in one tool
  • Smart features as well as integrated joule which helps with both visualisation and advanced visualisation requirements with the help of script generation

Cons

  • Connectivity with 3rd party datasources.
  • Limited visualization
  • Just ask for live connections
  • Was slow with non sap data sources
  • Was flawless with sap connections thus it won end users appreciation
  • Business users are also using it to create there own dashboards thus it was trust worthy
Having known multiple analytic tool through comparison i see regarding performance and visualisation as well as volume of data it can load and visualize, it stands out as one of the best in the market.
All three above examples are market leaders, being an sap consultant and as SAP Analytics Cloud is having tight integration with sap and offers fairly all the important features i use it.

issues:
limited chart visualisation, limited features with live connection at least like justask, planning, and no modelling capabilities with non hana or dwc connections
