Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business One
- ERP for small/medium (about 20 employees) subsidiaries
- Supports business processes related to finance (A/P, A/R, accounting, taxes), controlling, sales, distribution, supply chain
- Includes master data ( customer, material, pricing, vendors, sales representative...) and reporting (profitability, commissions, rebates...)
- Doesn't support warehousing (typically managed by interfaced 3PL partner)
Pros
- Appropriate functional coverage
- Easy to use - Quick learning curve
- Easy, fast and simple to deploy and maintain
Cons
- Manufacturing module lacks ability to break an item into components
- Cost of product manufactured cannot include the cost of components wasted
- Difficult to report on license usage
- Increased service level through accurate inventory visibility and pro-active supply chain
- Simplified month end reporting from a single system
- Efficiency improvements thru simple but accurate reports
- Much cheaper, faster and easier to implement and maintain than its big brother SAP ERP
- Rapid learning curve for existing and new employee (simple GUI, ability to export to Excel easily, simple master data...)
- Fits well in small organizations with "Jack of all trades" users
- Easy to support (well known MS SQL database, runs well on Windows platforms...)
