Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business Technology Platform
We activated the following services on SAP Business Technology Platform: BAS, Mobile Services, and Integration Suite.
1. BAS (Business Application Platform) is a single place (platform) for end-to-end application (Fiori, MDK, offline apps) development.
Great cloud-based integrated environment for developers to log in and start building apps for both on-prem and cloud.
2. Mobile Services is the only service that we use to deploy MDK (offline capability) apps onto the user devices (iPad/phones). Once an app is built using BAS, we host the app on Mobile services (no need for play store or app store). Using Mobile Data Management, the app is then deployed to user devices and can be monitored on the Mobile Services cockpit.
3. Integration Suite is a great service for transferring files to vendors ( outside and inside the organization) securely. Many features like encryption keys, auditing, etc. are readily available that can be leveraged. Make sure to use the discovery center to estimate the cost before activating this service. It could be pricy.

- Authentication and single point of login ( SSO )
- All services at one place, easy of tracking and management
Cons
- User access logs with detailed invoicing information
- Migrate data/service configuration from one sub-ac to another
- We activated Integration Suite ( IS ) and deactivated it after a few months due to the high cost ($10,000/month). We don't generate any revenue but ended up paying such a high cost.
