Overall Satisfaction with SAP Concur

We use SAP Concur for claiming travel and project expenses. It connects to our Oracle ERP cloud for User data access and uses Azure SSO for authentication. Implementation is done as a hybrid cloud setup. It is also used by Project ASDMs to approve expenses claimed by Employees/Contractors of their respective projects.

Pros

  • Good UI/UX.
  • Great Integration Capabilities with other vendors.
  • Setup and Hosting are easier compared to its Open-source alternatives.

Cons

  • Approval of line items directly in an email, instead of having to log in.
  • UI and themes to match other vendors like Oracle Redwood, so that integration looks seamless.
  • Capability to integrate with smaller cloud systems like Oodo or ERPnext.
  • Not much in terms of ROI, it was a required module for handling expenses reimbursement and tracking.
  • It had improved the overall flow and made the process flow easier.
It's a good product. Has a modern and intuitive UI, and the user experience is great as well.
We have integrated Oracle ERP Cloud to get project-level data and employee-level data, both of which are required for handling travel expenses. This is done using OIC, which helps in building an easy integration. For the authentication, we have also integrated the system with Azure AD, and using which we have enabled SSO.
Haven't used anything else.

Oracle APEX, Oracle Integration (OIC), Azure App Service
It's a very simple UI, easy to use, and always requires very minimal user evangelization. Excellent integration with ERP systems and strong reporting for Finance teams. In my personal experience, it's a strong fit for the companies that need integrated travel expenses and invoice management across multiple locations. Automated receipt capture is user-friendly.

We wanted a cloud solution over an On premise one with the capability to integrate with other cloud vendors seamlessly
If I were to look into it again, I would look into Open source additions as well that can pair well with the delivered features
