Overall Satisfaction with SAP Data Intelligence

SAP Data Intelligence is helping us solve the following business problems.
1. Handle huge volumes of data coming from a variety of sources.
2. Orchestrate data pipelines with optimum governance around them
3. Helping in data management activities with its strong feature set on data profiling, data cataloging, etc.
4. Helping us prepare data for our AI/ML processes

  • Like every SAP product, it is rigid with product strategy and hard to keep pace with advancements in technology
  • Integration with open-source technologies and the future road map is always a point of contention

  • Almost 20 to 25% savings in managing the data pipelines from operations point of view
  • More focus on bringing additional external sets of data into the landscape for AI / ML processes
Since we are big on SAP ecosystem products in our IT landscape, it was natural for us to find a best possible solution from SAP product suite. However, we still explored the products available from Informatica product portfolio, we found using SAP Data Intelligence more prudent in terms of seamless integration with lot of our other SAP products.
With a dedicated support channel from SAP that is made available to us, it was quite easy to get the attention from various SAP teams (products and support) on the issues that we encountered during the implementation phase. Of course, adding a new feature to the product is a time-consuming process, we could get some of the bugs fixed prior to our go lives pretty quickly.
1. With SAP Data Intelligence consultants available onsite guiding the in-house teams, usability aspect was mostly taken care of.
2. SAP's product documentation also helped a great deal to understand new features and their use in real life scenarios.
