Overall Satisfaction with SAP HANA

Our BW system runs on HANA. It is used by the whole organization. We had a few issues related to making data available for reporting due to which we had moved to BW on HANA. A lot of issues related to performance are resolved.
  • Performance (esp. for data loading, activation etc.)
  • Enterprise side is quite good. Allows developers to use SQL, AFL easily.
  • There are a lot of bugs. It needed a long time to come to a stable state but still we see bugs.
  • Make the Eclipse interface for the HANA studio more developer friendly.
  • Quicker Reporting available.
  • It didn't help too much on the development cycle timelines but we are expecting with B4 HANA that it will get better.
I think it is a very good tool (at this point in time) to handle huge data. New tools and functionalities complement HANA quite well. It is not a completely stable product after so many years but still a good one.
