Overall Satisfaction with SAP HANA

Primary database for SAP ERP (ECC) systems and also extensively used for for business intelligence purposes. BI reports on ECC (RTR, PTM) are developed using SAP HANA platform. SAP HANA is also used for one client as data processing (normalized database) tool using modeling features and then to process it to SAP RAR system.

  • Easy to transition/application support.
  • Bugs in front end modeling tool.
  • Price.
  • UI Features.
  • Costly implementation specially when project is only implemented for compliance purposes.
  • Very complex Business Intelligence reports takes lots of time and effort and makes it a costly deal sometimes.
1. In memory functionality.
2. Data compression using columnar storage functionality.
3. Performance.
4. Real time reporting.
5. Creating reports directly on ERP to save time and fix issues.
6. Easy implementation.
SAP is quick in providing help and support. There are many instances where the issues were causing delays in production and SAP was providing 24x7 support to fix the issues. However, now a days we have many examples and SAP notes available on web, to provide help in fixing issues. However, for immediate attention from SAP for any issues, we need to provide the proper business impact and justification with full issue details and system access.

2. Data management.
3. Data Analys.
4. Handling large volume of data without worrying about performance.
5. Normalization of data for processing to any SAP system from a third party database or source.
6. Complex development project and support.
