HANA worth the time and cost for the right business

SAP HANA is used throughout the whole organisation as leading database, particularly warehouse management, where we can make quick and efficient decisions. As the product is multi into memory, it's hard to beat it's proformance with other products which was a deciding factor when we purchased [SAP] HANA, along with real time analytics and reduction in MRP times.

We use real-time analytics to show what-if
scenarios and how they would impact the business, particularly in
MRP. We are now shown in real time how our stock levels will be affected
and we don't have to wait around and analyse the data manually. The stores
department is working a lot more efficiently and we can produce work orders
based on incoming orders and combine where necessairy.

Support for a vast amount of data types is benefitical to our organisation as we need to report multiple ways and to differenet levels of managment. We can tailor reports to the user and data to get the best out of our ERP. The only issue is that it does not types like TEXT which we need for complex BOMs.

SAP HANA has allowed us to combine multiple off systems efforts to pull the data we need everyday for our business. We use to have to run complex MRP and pricing engines which took hours, now we have HANA built business logic tailored to our processes. This allows us to react quickier and have the right analytics at our fingertips.
