Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SAP Litmos to deliver compliance, skill set, and performance based training to our clients. By using the functionality and the learning tools that Litmos provides, we are able to deliver custom content to learners to improve the experience that our clients provide to their customers. The course creation and reporting tools along with a user friendly interface has contributed to our success.

Alternatives Considered

We chose Litmos because of 1) its simplistic design while offering robust features from a learner perspective, 2) flexibility and innovation from an administrative perspective, 3) their technology and ability to integrate with various apps. Additionally, we chose Litmos because of its entrepreneurial, innovative, and customer centric culture.

While other solutions had parts of these elements, many did not have all three elements that were important to our company.

Usability

I think overall usability is good to great. The user and admin interface is customizable and very easy to use. Litmos does release new features every quarter and it definitely enhances and builds value for the product. Our Company uses the Litmos system extensively, probably more than the majority of Litmos clients. With feature releases, we tend to notice bugs but they are quick to fix the major ones.

Implementation Rating

We had an implementation specialist when we first started 5-6 years ago but we were able to implement most of the solution by ourselves. The documentation provided on Litmos support is by far the best I have seen in a while. Factor in a highly user intuitive interface and the implementation is easy for most small to medium companies. Taking advantage of the APIs and webhooks required more work from our end but for most companies, the push reporting is so robust, it is good enough.

Likelihood to Recommend

All companies will benefit from the SAP Litmos platform. The solution can be used equally as easy for a small or large company. Companies that have heavy segmentation (i.e. lots of regions and / or teams) need a systematic approach to manage Litmos. Luckily, Litmos does have the technology to manage more sophisticated situations.
