Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is being used to help executives see and understand the trends in their business.

Pros and Cons

Easy to use
Easy to stand up
Easy to create professional looking dashboards.

Only downside I see is the need for a stand alone app server, it would be nice to put on an existing server.

I am a previous heavy user of Microstrategy (v. 9.41 & 10), I did not care for that product at all, it was terrible to administer and even worse to develop in. I'm not sure why any one would use that. With Lumira, we were up and running in no time.

SAP Lumira works great, might not be the best solution for someone looking to get to line level details. It is great for executive level reports, dashboards, score cards, etc. It is great for visualizing different scenarios, especially sales related. It has great mapping features as well that allow you to look at trends geo spatially.
