Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are testing SAP Lumira as a vehicle for the Visual Crossing mapping plug-in. We are comparing it to other BI products such as MicroStrategy.

Pros and Cons

Lumira is easy to install and configure.
The extension technology works well, and it is easy to add new visualizations.

Lumira's joining capability seems weak, but perhaps that is because I am used to MicroStrategy which is very strong in this department.
Lumira can be unstable and crash from time to time.
Lumira's performance sometimes feels slow.

Alternatives Considered

MicroStrategy Analytics

The MicroStrategy platform is faster and the joins are much more natural. However, Lumira is very easy to install and configure.
