Overall Satisfaction with SAP BusinessObjects Lumira

SAP Business Objects Lumira is used by our department. This tool gives us more navigation options in terms of presenting management different options to play with the data more easily.

Pros

  • Easy to consume formats such as charts, bars, graphs.
  • Drill down functionality to granular details.
  • Able to merge the data from different sources and able to easily visualize it.
  • The ability to derive the data by users themselves with little knowledge.

Cons

  • I think SAP Business Objects LUMIRA needs improvement while connecting to the Universe Design Tool or UDT. At this moment I am converting UDT universe to IDT then creating the visualizations.
We are using SAP BusinessObjects Lumira for sales analytics. This tool is best suited for management who wish to create their own visualizations without asking for any IT help. I also think that this tool is not a dashboarding tool.
