Overall Satisfaction with SAP Master Data Governance
Today we use SAP Master Data Governance only in one department. It is used as "Centralizer" of information, the master data department makes the necessary registration, and shares with the entire company. Today, they use some transactions for registration.
This registration is essential for issuing orders to new customers, to register raw materials, [etc.]
This tool is used in both Mars segments, such as the pet food and chocolate division in Brazil. I do not know if it is used outside the country, but I believe it is.
- Organized.
- Complete.
- Diversity of information.
- Complex.
- Hard to use.
- Mass export options are lacking for end user.
- Data management.
- Organization of records.
- Registration flows.
It depends a lot on what and how we are going to compare. SAP Master Data, as I said earlier, is the most complete on the market and consequently for being the most complete it ends up being the one that most requires a high investment compared to what the other tools deliver. For example, it depends a lot of the business need, if it is a large company, I would certainly recommend SAP Master Data as it is complete, has an advanced security scheme, and has many options and facilities that other tools do not have.
This is a differential that helped us to think about data governance and the construction sequences of approvals.
This brings agility to implementation and also ease of construction.
I did not participate in the implementation process, I only know from afar. Today, I am more [of a] user and I consume the tool.
Unfortunately, I can't answer which applications it applies [to]. Today, we use not only SAP Master Data Governance but also other solutions such as SAP Outbound and Inbound. I can't say exactly how it performs in integration, [but] what I can say is, "The transition is very good, because although they are different modules, I don't see a difference in both".
