Overall Satisfaction with SAP Master Data Governance

Master Data Governance being used for the creation of raw materials, in particular concentrates. MDG allows to control this process better but from a SAP integration point of view some data elements are to be added manually in SAP as integration does not exist eg. variant configuration data in the material master.
  • Ensure a standard and controlled process
  • Allows to identify and merge duplicates
  • Allows to decommission materials
  • SAP integration could be better
  • look and feel can be improved
  • pricing based on active records in the db makes it very expensive
  • difficult to build a business case for MDG
MDG helps to standardize and control the master data process which is key for successful business processes.
Support is in line with expectations.
For PM objects another tool named Utopia is required. PM objects are not included into the standard stack.
Allowed to speed up the implementation.

MDG is well suited for the maintenance and governance of MRO materials. It adds standardization and control in your process and helps to keep the database clean and prevent duplicates of being created.
