Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is our system of record. All of our business processes run on SAP S/4HANA Cloud (with the exception of HR).

Pros

  • Business process solutions.
  • Strong data structure.
  • Strong security and authorizations.

Cons

  • Current user adoption of fiori.
  • Overall user experience.
  • Process improvement.
  • Reduction of manual business steps.
With user adoption of Fiori and other modern UX concepts still relatively low, many companies still rely on GUI. The user experience on the GUI is poor.
We are a long-standing SAP customer. The main reason we moved to SAP S/4HANA Cloud was that we did a company-wide consolidation in 2017. And we also had a system update planned. So it made business sense to do both projects at the same time and also upgrade to SAP S/4HANA Cloud as one of the early adopters.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is very strong when it comes to addressing business processes. However, it does have a steep learning curve, and in companies that still use the old SAP GUI, the user experience is not great.

we were already an s4 hana customer... we recently migrated to RISE. So our users were already familiar with the product
Change management was minimal - since this was just a technical lift and shift change mgmt was not a big deal
to early to tell
we don't really have a very good process in place
try and use standard functionality as much as possible
more detailed discovery sessions with the business. reporting/analytics was also a very big problem with the initial s4 hana implementation. and we are still living with all that technical debt
