Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors

My company uses the full suite of SuccessFactors. It allows us to efficiently handle data and processes across more than nine countries. We appreciate the ability to handle compliance matters with a high level of trust. One of the features we most appreciate is employee self service. The SuccessFactors product really allowed us to be confident in our data and reporting. One of the features I personally appreciate, is how much administration and configuration can be done in house, without the help of high-level consultants.
  • SuccessFactors has a particularly good Applicant Tracking System. I’ve worked in the recruiting space for many years, with a number of ATS products, and recruiters consistently like this ATS more than others, even Workday.
  • The product is continually advancing and providing more efficiencies and better flow of data between different modules in the suite.
  • The training available online in the SuccessFactors Community and the help documentation is first rate.
  • The shift from Onboarding 1.0 to 2.0, while a welcome new product, is still in need of easier migration tools so necessary data isn’t lost with the transition.
  • Processing expat movement is challenging, in EC, Performance, Recruiting and Onboarding. It is a patchwork of workarounds.

Our IT group always seems confident when integrating one SAP product with another SAP product. We have also been able to integrate with third-party recruiting products, such as background check vendors, and virtual interviewing tools.
I have personally been a part of two different implementations at two different companies. Both experiences were different, but with strong implementation partners, the process is less overwhelming.

SuccessFactors is great for multinational companies, dealing with highly complex compliance and payroll situations. It has a very good ATS and the new Onboarding module is promising. Employee self service is a feature my company is very invested in. Performance Management and Compensation are also quite configurable to work for our purposes.
