Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors HCM
It is the global HR platform, but with only two modules other than EC live in the UK (which I look after).
It is used as a hub for all people data
It is used as a hub for all people data
Pros
- Basic employee data
- Centralised data from a wide collection of companies
- Allow managers access to see their own employees
Cons
- Can easily be over complicated and not intuitive (probably user error due to too much bespoke processing allowed at implementation)
- Reporting. Some of the basic stuff is good as is advanced analytics. Stories takes too long to load, tiles are not usable. Better automated reporting without going through an API build in IT
- No visibility of the proper field names in SF. In ERP you could press F1 and see the proper field name which helped in problem solving
- With imported data, allows for analysis of employee data to be able to see cross impact (high performer/low performer attrition etc)
- Allowed for centralized reporting of employee data across 27 different companies within a group
- Time spent manually entering data from big projects can be bulk uploaded.
I am excited about the AI function. At the moment it looks based a lot in skills which is a module we don't have. I am very interested in seeing where Joule goes after it is a bit more established. We are currently looking at building a HR chatbot and I think we may pause this to see if Joule can fulfill this need instead as an agent rather than as an assistant.
I prefer the reporting in SAP SuccessFactors HCM rather than workday. Workday is generally more user friendly for the end user, but I prefer the back end options in SF.
