Overall Satisfaction with Progress ShareFile

We use ShareFile for large attachments inside and outside of our network.

Pros

  • Great for sharing large attachments
  • Easy for users to open files you send to them
  • Notifications are great to verify when a user opens a file you sent to them

Cons

  • Plugin for Outlook seems to be a bit resource intensive
  • Online editing requires separate paid subscription
  • Sharing options could use some improvements
  • We feel ShareFile has been a great investment for our company since it reduces storage in our Exchange environment.
We still have some users not using ShareFile, but we are moving more and more users to ShareFile since it is easier to manage.
We have not used the e-signature part yet, but do plan to in the future.

We use ShareFile quite a lot to reduce the amount of storage used in our Exchange environment. It is also very convenient when sending large attachments to external users.
