Overall Satisfaction with Shift

I love the fact that I can be signed into multiple instances of the same service or software, since I'm a web developer I manage several accounts for my clients such as email, GoDaddy, Email Marketing. And it can be a hassle to continue signing in and out of different accounts when managing multiple accounts. I like that it can all be in their own account in one browser, resolving a huge issue for me and also minimizing clutter.

Pros

  • Organization
  • Multi-tasking
  • Enhanced functionality

Cons

  • Customization to layout and tabs
  • Option to have multiple instances, even though I like having one window open, it would be nice to be able to separate personal and business even better
  • Easier to close tabs, getting a quick snapshot (screenshot) of the window and ability to go through and close those you aren't working on anymore
  • Perhaps a way to highlight which tabs haven't been used in x amount of time and archive them or something like that
  • I can't answer to ROI per-say but it has saved me time which in-turn saves me money.
It's great with what I've already mention however, I would like to see better developer tools, being able to inspect a sights code is super handy and I've seen that it isn't always reliable on Shift, unfortunately. And it would be nice to see if splitting two applications/tabs would be possible. I generally use 32" 4k monitors and I sometimes need to copy content over from one site to another. It would be great to have a split screen option in Shift.

Do you think Shift delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Shift's feature set?

Yes

Did Shift live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Shift go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Shift again?

Yes

I already described this, but being able to have multiple instances of software logged in for different clients in programs like GoDaddy or Gmail, even email marketing and others. I use it for managing my clients websites and accounts. Other browsers are limited in being able to serve up 2 Gmail accounts or 2 Godaddy accounts and keeping them open at the same time. This is especially troublesome when you have 2-step auth to worry about. Constantly having to get an auth key from the client isn't great.
