Overall Satisfaction with Shift

I primarily use Shift to manage my Gmail accounts and Google Drive without having to have a million Google Chrome windows open.

Pros

  • Allows me to quickly view multiple Gmail accounts
  • Allows me to quickly view multiple Google Drives
  • Allows me to use all my normal Google tools with my email (e.g., plug-ins, email templates, etc.)

Cons

  • It would be great if Shift could combine my emails on one screen across my multiple accounts like Gmail's mobile app does.
  • I don't find it as easy or intuitive to browse the web within Shift, so I typically switch over to Chrome for that.
  • I find all the apps and workspace features to be confusing and not particularly useful for my purposes.
  • Shift has definitely streamlined my workflow and made it more efficient for me to be able to produce my reports quickly.
  • The layout of Shift makes me feel much more organized than I would if I were just managing multiple windows and accounts.
  • Shift doesn't take away my ability to use the Google features I love, but it provides a much more gratifying workflow for doing it.
Because it streamlines a lot of my workflow, but it could use some improvements in terms of bugs that come up here and there as well as staying up to date with the latest version of Chrome. I also wish that I could view all my mail in one list in addition to having it separated by account.
Microsoft 365 is great in terms of the features of each program, but switching between the programs isn't quick. Shift allows me to manage my email accounts and my Google Drives, as well as create documents, spreadsheets, and slides using Google's tools all within the same program. It makes my workflow much more efficient.

Shift makes it easy to manage multiple Gmail accounts while still having access to all of Google's features. I like to be able to use Google's plug-ins and automation features right from within Shift, which is more difficult if not impossible within other email clients. It also makes it easy to manage my Google Drives.
