It is used by multiple departments across the organization to analyze and report business data, mostly transaction data across multiple domains. The tool helps to solve the business problem of measuring the KPI (key performance indicators) of programs. We set up the queries to measure the performance indicators and report those on a regular basis.

Yes, all reports used by PMOs have been set up in a spreadsheet format. We have been using these reports without having to learn SQL.
We have used the filters and parameter choices to slice and dice data without having to depend on technical team.
We can share reports and dashboards with colleagues by simply sharing the URL of the report. It is very convenient.
Have used Tableau. Sigma is simpler to setup and use
