Overall Satisfaction with Sigma Computing

Sigma is the hub for all of our organizations reporting and dashboarding needs. We use it for everything from quick questions about our data, to advanced analysis and projections. As a small data team, I use Sigma daily to create workbooks and answer questions of my internal team. Sigma's workbook functionality is some of the best I've seen in any BI tool. Advanced questions that would involve complicated query writing are very fast to develop in Sigma's formula and table editors.
  • Interactive workbooks
  • Data Table development
  • Data Table reusability
  • Document based report development
  • Theming and styling
  • Visualization types offered
  • Operationalization of data
  • Key Metric reporting
  • Central source of truth for organization data
  • Presentation tool for multi-system reporting
In the past, non-technical users did not have a way to access our organization's data without manual intervention from the Business Intelligence team.

Now, Sigma is the go to location for data access. The UI is clear enough that users can immediately start using data once they start using Sigma via consuming pre-built reports.

Several teams in our organization utilize Sigma daily for operational reporting and tracking of initiatives.
Sigma's table and dataset creation capabilities make it easy to create time-series based reporting to understand not only why something happened, but the history behind when it happened. We use this functionality in many of our reports. Having the ability to join tables created in Sigma, back to warehouse tables, or other Sigma components, makes this very fluid and easy to understand what is happening in the data.
Sigma is the easiest to use from a workbook developer perspective, and from a non-technical end user perspective. Everything from administration, semantic layer setup, to creating dashboards is easier in Sigma than these other tools. Developing content in Sigma is enjoyable, and you feel like you can do what you expect to intuitively without hassle.

Do you think Sigma Computing delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sigma Computing's feature set?

Yes

Did Sigma Computing live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Sigma Computing go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Sigma Computing again?

Yes

I have recommended Sigma to colleagues who are looking for a BI tool that is hosted and who are utilizing Snowflake. While I think Sigma could be good for analysis purposes for any organization, if the consumption of the reports is primarily focused around interactive dashboards, I think it is a very good fit.

I would not recommend Sigma for organizations that have requirements for document based reports.
