Overall Satisfaction with SmartRecruiters

SmartRecruiters is used as the primary tool for managing recruitment, including screening candidates and following up on the hiring process.

Pros

  • Clear and easy to navigate interface.
  • Advanced search function.
  • Tracking communications between HR, hiring managers, and candidates.

Cons

  • Management of attachments, especially in cases where an applicant has applied previously to other positions within the company.
  • General bugs in terms of performance (slow loading time, broken links, error messages).
  • Streamlined communications with recruitment and hiring managers.
  • Better overview of candidates for a given job (easier to rank/compare).
Well-suited: I can autonomously screen candidates who have applied to my job and use the ratings and notes features to ask my recruiter to contact potential fits for a first screen.
Less appropriate: To do post-mortems on a candidate interview (detailed breakdown of pros and cons) - we still do this by email.
