Overall Satisfaction with Snagit

We use Snagit both in our customer support department and in our marketing department. Selling software often involves a LOT of explaining as does onboarding new users. We use Snagit to capture what our software product can do in action and use these images and videos from snagit, to build a clearer picture of our product for our potential and existing customers.
  • Snagit makes it easy to screenshot a webpage or document that scrolls beyond what is currently visible on your screen. Very helpful for someone who works primarily off a small laptop all day.
  • We heavily annotate screenshots for our help pages, FAQs, and when answering customer emails. Snagit has lots of helpful tools built in to do this easily and professionally.
  • I've also used Snagit to create simple graphics too. It makes combining multiple image files and adding text really really easy.
  • I would love to see them continue to expand their suite of tools you can use for video and editing.
  • Similarly, they've done a good job of expanding their annotations and tools for design/graphics over the years and always love to see more of these.

Previously we were using the native screencapture programs on our computers and the annotation options were pretty limited (and a little dull!). We'd still often times have to use photoshop, which unfortunately just has a steep learning curve. For video capture we would often use Quicktime. We chose snagit because it combined both screenshot capture and video capture with simple editing in one tool that was easy for people with a variety of backgrounds to use.
Snagit is great for capturing screen shots and videos to use in Help Desk documentation, customer support emails, FAQs, and marketing materials. The ability to quickly edit and annotate these images and videos helps create a quick turnaround for our team and publish these materials faster. The simplicity of the program has made it easy for people across multiple departments to use.
