Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds IP Address Manager

We use it to monitor what is in each of our IP scopes. It is helpful in finding devices and equipment that is in the wrong scope so that it can be changed. It also provides assistance in knowing what devices may not be connected or responding, We use it to identify what scopes are full or getting close to full.
  • Scope scans.
  • DNS lookup.
  • Missing and/or badly configured devices.
  • Multiple scans at the same time.
  • More export options.
  • It meets our needs.
  • It has saved us money on more complex systems.
This product meets the basic needs we need to be addressed. We use Network Performance Monitor, but with that having node level licensing we do not need that on every node and that is where IP address manager steps in and is a difference-maker. This is a tool that every network administrator should have in their tool kit.
SolarWinds provides outstanding support on all of there products and that is the same with IP Address Manager. I have found it simple to set up and use. The reputation of Solarwind Support makes use of any of there software very comforting. SolarWinds is among the best in the business when it comes to support.

If you are looking for a tool that does identification for devices and VLAN management, this is the tool. We use it in many ways and it has always been extremely helpful. If you are looking for a deep analysis this is not the best tool for you but it meets our needs.
