Taleo is being used in the recruiting efforts as a way to streamline a rather long recruitment and retention process. The structure of the business is a team of recruiters that sit in several different locations filling jobs across one specific function. Taleo helped to make sure the candidate experience was as smooth as possible by keeping a record of where each candidate is in the process all the way through to the first day. It is also used as the first choice for sourcing and referrals from internal candidates.
  • Collecting data on how people find out about the company. It is privately owned. It helped targeting recruiting dollars.
  • Making sure recruiters don't overlap candidates that may already have been contacted or are in the interview process.
  • Help to keep record of candidates that we know we don't want working for us.
  • Taleo can be sometimes not so user friendly. You really have to know the system well.
  • It provided insight to length of time in each stage of onboarding and where managers could improve responsiveness.
I would go with something less bulky.
If you have a heavy onboarding process or a teams in several different places, it's a great tool to have that keeps everyone on the same page in real time.
