Overall Satisfaction with Tango Card

We use Tango as our digital rewards management provider connected to our online consumer panel platform (through FocusVision Kinesis Panel). Using Tango's API our panelists redeem points earned for projects on our platform towards a Tango Card that is redeemable wherever they want. It's being used only for 1 consumer panel managed by my organization with about 18,000 users. It's very hands-off in terms of how the redemptions work so that is a great thing not to have to worry about. Since it works well enough to not need user support and is intuitive enough for the non tech-savvy it saved me a lot of time in administering.
  • Rewards Genius backend is well organized and easy to start campaigns or run reports.
  • Onboarding was relatively pain-free.
  • The initial setup of the API with all the ACH info was a bit complicated.
  • The only speedbump (not big concern) is the branding of a Tango Card - when saying that to recipients, they don't "get it" immediately and some quick-to-judgement folks can say they don't want it.
  • Positive: Since its redemption process works so well in my case, it's less time that I have to spend providing support to users who cannot redeem their online gift.
Comparatively, Tango Card is far superior to Giftbit in my use case (i.e. API connected to online community platform). Largely due to it works for the end user (the recipient of the reward) much more simply and it is stress-free. With Giftbit, I had tons of users who never got their rewards and complained to me. By nature of Giftbit's business model (their revenue is based on unclaimed gifts that hit a redemption period) it makes me feel like they like that it doesn't work. For unclaimed expired rewards, they take half and the customer (me) gets the other half... but the time that it takes to make that right with a user dwarfs that 50% I get back so it defeats the purpose. Tango Card just works better functionally so you don't have to worry about all the rest.
Giving it a 9 only because I haven't been using it for more than 6 months but that said, I've had enough projects and redemptions to get a full understanding of its performance. TANGO CARD just works better than the rest for the redemption experience for the end recipient.

Do you think Tango Card delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Tango Card's feature set?

Yes

Did Tango Card live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Tango Card go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Tango Card again?

Yes

Having had the exact same setup with Giftbit's API, Tango Card is very well suited to be your online rewards mall provider to a consumer community. It also functions well for manual campaigns where you need to send a batch of people a set amount of incentives. Cannot immediately think of flaws or situations where I wouldn't recommend using it.

  • Creating a gift campaign manually.
  • Being onboarded by the team.
  • Tango Card's legal took awhile with the NDA and Enterprise Agreement but par for the course.
No issues to report = 10. I cannot think of simpler usability in this category.
