Teamcenter is the heart of our product data management as well as the product lifecycle management, we have well defined workflows for each type of objects which are being created inside the Teamcenter as well as the other linked applications.
Teamcenter makes our life a lot more easier to track and trace the engineering changes which were done at different milestones of the project or during the lifetime of the product.

- roles definition and authorization can be made more user friendly
- process schedule definition requires more of IT skills than an actual use case, there can be dashboards to define such processes and it can be automated effectively
- organization of workflows can be handled better and there should be automated reminders for tasks within the workflow
- the user interface is pretty outdated, still menu based and has lot of scope for improvement
- reduce the redundancy of repeated documentation tasks
- clear versioning history with user identification
- supplier integration into product lifecycle management
- easy to share the engineering data to cross functions
- up to date product data at one place
- possibility of securing the data with project access
From time to time Teamcenter have gained prominence with regards to adapting the workflows and the environment to adapt to the key users within the product lifecycle and product data management cycles.by giving the full control of the workflows to the users, it is easy for the bigger organizations to finetune the processes and set the internal standards according to the strategic direction
