Overall Satisfaction with Teamcenter

We have a large portfolio of agriculture products and managing its engineering data was difficult. That's when Teamcenter was introduced and observed many of our problems. It has solutions like drawing release, manufacturing BOM release, ECN management, testing reporting, and many more. In my case, we use PLM for NPD (new product development) from scratch to proto development. We go through the workflow process and involve CFT members in the concurrent mfg process.
  • For each part, JT is there for the non-design people, who can see how the actual part looks and measure some limited dimensions that are needed at the mfg level.
  • In our scenario, we use Creo as 3D modeling and Teamcenter as our PLM, through which integration tasks were handled very well.
  • My most favorite thing is it's user-friendly and customizable.
  • In Assembly, JT is not directly viewable. There is some alternate method available, but it’s hard to use.
  • For resolving field issues, it was difficult to get CFT in one platform. At that point, Teamcenter helps with managing ECR-ECN to include all CFT in one platform.
I'm not aware of the timeline, but I think it was 1-1.5 years after we started migrating old data and using PLM for the new part process of generating new codes and applying workflow review, etc. For 2 years, I have had no issues as we integrated with Creo and now it runs simultaneously.
Teamcenter has all the solutions regarding engineering, manufacturing, and integration with SAP. There is no chance of giving a lesser rating.
Teamcenter is user-friendly, easily customizable, provides all information on one platform, and is light to use with any system.

Do you think Teamcenter delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Teamcenter's feature set?

Yes

Did Teamcenter live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Teamcenter go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Teamcenter again?

Yes

For design data management and processes, like workflows, ECR-ECN parts revision is most likely well-suited with Teamcenter. Also, you can add a library as a classification for standard parts like bearings, nut bolts, pins, washers, etc.
