Overall Satisfaction with Teamcenter
Teamcenter is my organization's PLM system. It is what we use on our journey to a single source of truth. It allows us to have each location across the world have access to the same data and track it accurately.
Pros
- Easy to use interface - AWC
- Customizable workflows allow for business-specific use cases
- The different views when searching for an item (table with summary, tree with summary, etc) are very helpful!
Cons
- Make which role you are using clearly visible on the screen
- With the return button, possibly allow it to be right clicked to see multiple steps back rather than just the one
- Going from no real PLM system to Teamcenter, it has taken some time to adjust and learn. Things moved slower for a while but it is getting faster as people get comfortable
- Teamcenter has allowed us to track data more accurately and do so across business locations in a place where everyone knows they are accessing the same data. Having that single source of truth in invaluable for the company
