Okta Identity Cloud is used as the single sign-on solution across multiple verticals at our organization. It has helped to provide various integrations to enable our workforce to seamlessly sign on using multi-factor authentication to various internal portals and tools. We have been able to integrate it in to our Active Directory as well, providing seamless user management through a single set of tools.

Okta's centralized identity management platform has enabled our organization to use it as an architectural point of integration with various heterogenous identity systems we utilize, while enabling our internal teams to provide simplified integrations to enterprise applications pointing back at the central user base. Through its ability to communicate with various user databases over many standardized protocols, it makes integrations straightforward and effective by enabling us to architect our solutions in the best way possible.
We received help from the Okta customer support team during an integration with an internal knowledge management application, and they were able to assist us effectively. There were some gaps in the official documentation which were specific to our implementation of the Okta identity server, and the customer support team were able to get us technical help that assisted in getting the solution we needed built out according to specifications.
We have been able to maintain our internal SLAs for availability of identity servers thanks to Okta Identity Cloud's uptime guarantees. This has led to a marked reduction of complaints related to login and user authentication issues within the organization's enterprise applications. It has also enabled us to implement self-service workflows for our employees which has been a huge efficiency boost for our IT services teams.
Our main points of consideration in choosing an identity provider were simplicity of integration into our existing enterprise application suite and cost. Okta Identity Cloud proved to be on par with other contenders in the field in terms of integration capability, and was more cost-effective than the other solutions we evaluated.
