Overall Satisfaction with Thinkific

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it to offer affordable access to content I base my coaching services on. It allows more access to people who either can't afford or don't have the time to schedule coaching sessions. I market it whenever I can, because it's such a great deal. Essentially, it frees up time and money for both me and potential clients.

Cons

Attaching payment connection seems to be inconsistent.
Not sure if people paid after registering.
Upselling isn't helpful.

Return on Investment

I like being able to market a mid-level service that isn't always free.
It's given me greater visibility.
It's allowed me to make connections with other aspiring course creators.

Usability

Interface is very straightforward. I like the "plug and play" setup. There was not a lot of confusion around setting my course up and adding new features that I would not have thought to use otherwise. Overall, I recommend using Thinkific over other platforms because it is so easy to use.

Alternatives Considered

I don't have experience with other platforms, therefore my opinion is limited. However, a big reason I went with Thinkific was that an organization I did leadership development for used it to create their own course. I liked the experience and wanted to replicate it for myself. Therefore, I went with Thinkific.

Likelihood to Recommend

Thinkific is generous, allowing users to have one complimentary course to try out the platform. It can be used internally for employee training or externally to vet and orient potential clients. It can also be a great marketing stepping stone for medium-budget services. On the flip side, I wouldn't use Thinkific for higher quality presentations.
