Overall Satisfaction with Thinkific
We use Thinkific Plus for delivery of our online parent education courses. We are a 30 year old organisation that delivered parent education in at in-person at-venue format and over the last 5 years has moved to a vision of digital delivery of our 3 main programmes + online self-directed courses on topics that are relevant ot parenting in today's world. Thinkific allows us to easily manage course construction and onboarding of customers. It is an intuitive and use friendly tool which is the reason we chose it. We have recently restructed to a very small team with no budget to hire developers and tech agencies. The other LMS we tried was a headache and Thinkifc allows our non-tech staff to engage with it easily.
Pros
- User Friendly look n feel interface
- Easy creation, upload and management of course content
- Good, prompt accounht management support
Cons
- Reporting of course sales and engagement - hate the 24 hour delay between purchase and analytics
- Affiliate tracking and managment is not intuitive
- Coupon setup & tracking needs to be way better - need to be able to have more option for maanging specific codes and tracking usage of codes
- User - screen should be able to add columns for courses enrolled into, permissions, groups
- Direct downloads please - hate that I have to wait for the email to make its way through my mimecast to get my weekly numbers
- User permissions - need more layers between site admin and course admin. In our team almost everyone has site admin coz course admin doesn't give them the access they need and then they can touch things I don't want them to touch.
- Negative - We not had the sales uptake on our first course that we would have liked, although I would not put that on the platform at all.
- Positive - The platform expereince has been comfortable enough to make the team feel confident about planning future courses and online growth
- Negative - The price is prohibitive and will make us re-evaluate other tools periodically, especially if the ROI from courses is not sufficient
We used Academy of Mine before Thinkific - for us it was a horrid expereince - terribly clunky interface, customer support lacking, horrid fornt end experience for learners, even worst backend experience for users.
We evaluted many others, but our priority was conenction with Salesforce and our CMS. Thinkific made sense.
