Overall Satisfaction with Thinkific

I have hosted digital courses via Thinkific. The company provided me with a platform that allowed a smooth process for students - and fantastic portals to host accompanying PDF's and learning materials.

Pros

  • Support has been superb. Every advisor provided brilliant time and attention
  • Highly accessible - with easy to navigate dashboard
  • Smooth learning process for students.

Cons

  • I would suggest some additional features for the free and basic plan - or, a review of the basic plan cost, to make hosting multiple courses, more feasible for new creators.
  • A more varied range of landing page templates
  • A link with platforms like Substack - for social media post management.
  • Enabled a transition into the digital economy - rather than reliant on direct services
  • Allowed progression to more independent status - rather than being reliant on digital course hosting sites like Udemy, Skillshare
  • Hosting digital products provide a form of close to passive income, that was otherwise not present in my life
I'd rate Thinkific's overall usability a solid 9 out of 10. The platform is incredibly intuitive, especially the teacher dashboard, which makes it easy to upload content, organise lessons, and track student progress without any hassle. Even if you're not super tech-savvy, you can navigate everything smoothly. It's clearly built with educators in mind, and that really shows.
I’ve used both platforms and found Thinkific to be far more intuitive and flexible than Teachable. The layout of the dashboard feels cleaner and more user-friendly, which makes managing courses a smoother experience. I particularly appreciated the level of control Thinkific gives you over how your content is structured and presented. It also doesn’t force transaction fees on the free plan, which was a big plus when I was just getting started. Overall, it felt like a better long-term fit for building and growing my online teaching presence.
