Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO BusinessWorks

The use of the TIBCO BusinessWorks I do is for multiple customers, and only in a particular industry of these companies, I work for. One of the problems that can be encountered is the difficulty of migration from BW 5. X to BW 6. X, which does not have optimal backward compatibility.

Pros

  • Easy programming
  • Code reuse
  • Well documented

Cons

  • Extending the choice of adapter
  • Multilanguage being
  • Create a plugin for automatic job creation
  • Self-taught
It took just one week of studying the BusinessWorks Tibco and Tibco Administrator tools, accompanied by a week of exercises covering all the possible chapters concerning programming, installation of tools, package creation and deploying, installation maintenance and error management. Obviously, the practice and prolonged use of the product has reinforced and improved the knowledge acquired.
  • Increased demand for work
  • Confirmed alliance with other companies
The strong point of TIBCO BusinessWorks is to be a very strong middleware. Useful for integration between heterogeneous systems that need to communicate with each other. It is important to create republication processes through JMS or RV protocols (proposing a protocol of TIBCO). In a scenario where you want to bring processes to the cloud, RV usage is impossible and this is an unfavorable point.

Hello Mariano, Thanks for taking the time to submit this review. We appreciate your feedback. Regarding your concern with migration from BW5 to BW6, with the latest versions of BW6 we have added quite a few new enhancements to ease the migration process. I would recommend you to give the latest version BW 6.4.2 a try and provide us your feedback. BW6 is equipped with all the goodness of BW5 like the data mapper, visual debugger, etc and additionally provides tools to develop microservices for the cloud world. Lastly, BW6 can be extended to deploy on docker container using the BusinessWorks Container Edition product Thanks.
