Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Data Virtualization
I have used TIBCO for the organization to extract data from multiple data source, transformed the data to our needs and present the data visually for easy easy read and quick decision. It was used across the organization to solve this issue. However at the time of testing I’m not sure if KPIs option was available.
Pros
- It has many type of data sources to connect to.
- You can drag and drop connection between table(s).
- Easy visual of the data.
- Easy to use.
Cons
- Will be good to have KPIs to view data.
- The UI looks like management studio….maybe a different look and feel.
- Be able to create custom calculation.
- No KPI from what I experienced so far.
- Stakeholders prefer to visual data that raw data.
- No on the go app.
Honestly, we decided to use Microsoft Power BI over TIBCO Data Virtualization for our visualization purpose. TIBCO is up against Power BI by having a long list of different data sources compared to the list of data sources available in Power BI. TIBCO is a good tool but for visualization, it is lacking that part.
