Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Jaspersoft

  • Charts are very clear and regularly updated
  • Scheduling reports is easy
  • Reduced number of clicks to access reports
  • Scheduling dashboards - should be able to export to Excel, exporting to PDF looks cheap and not correctly aligned.
  • Calculated Measures - over-complicated and difficult for new users to get to grips with.
  • Admin rights - customers should be able to access other people's reports and schedules if they have admin rights.
  • Dashboards - should have more space than one screen.
[TIBCO Jaspersoft is] Quicker, clearer and allows for more professional looking reports.
Good for customers who want simple basic reporting, however all companies require more in-depth reporting which outshine free online tools. Jaspersoft needs to enhance dashboards, personalise scheduling such as email templates, add company logos and give the whole look and feel a review as it looks very dated etc.

Support and Training

Poor internal knowledge, lack of communication skills and the fact less than 50% of our support calls are answered without the need to escalate.

New releases can be very buggy, also lacking when it comes to standard time zones and formats that are outside the US. As a company we never feel comfortable implementing a new release for at least 3-6 months due to errors that are found
  • Self-taught
Very simple product to learn. Though lacking in interactive knowledge base and videos
Certain parts are simple to follow, however functions such as calculated measures leave a lot to be desired and as such prevent people from willing to learn how to use them

Front end design and usability. There are many products out there, reporting software needs to stand out in a crowded matket
We would look at customer support reviews, types of charts and graphs on offer as well as amount of big fixes released after a new version

TIBCO Jaspersoft Support

Yes - As we expect and require quick responses.
Yes - Nope. One line answer was supplied - 'will be fixed in future release'. No idea when this release will be, no effort made to understand the problem and how it impacts our business.
Nope, unfortunately we have never received this.

Poor chart design, old fashioned interface, unable to define or create eye catching reports. Very buggy after new release
