Most of our training has been with trial and error, and of-course external web searches. Jaspersoft has alot to offer and can be alittle over whelming. On our team we had people to would specialize in certain parts of the reporting. This provided a much easier way to master the product.

We were shown a couple of things we didn't figure out initially. However possibly a more specific type of training on Jasper Studio and Jasper Ad hoc report creation might've been better. Some reports are difficult to calculate in the ad hoc report designer. Such as normalisation calculations. Very limited online help regarding calculated measures and the correct syntax. Just a bit too much "fumbling" in the system to get things to work.

I would recommend any company/client who is looking for Jaspersoft as a solution internally/externally(customer facing) it's better to have the engagement of Jasper consultant to review the system and embed best practices post go-live/pre go-live so that there will be minimal issues.
